Launched in 1952, the Navitimer was designed for pilots and the “Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association” (AOPA) decided immediatly to make the Navitimer their official watch.
The navigation timer or Navitimer combined 3 essential tools for navigation : a watch, a chronograph and a sliderule. It has changed over the years and many different models have derived from the original design.
