With its new Defy Xtreme collection Zenith has made a move into the sport watch world, its new designs are rugged and inspired by race cars.

The eight model collection comes in two families of four watches each. Defy Classic watches are priced from $6,000 to $10,500 USD; Defy Xtreme watches cost from $11,000 to $21,000 USD; a a tourbillon chronograph model is priced at $125,000 USD.

The watches are big. Five of them have cases measuring about 47 in diameter. There are powered by Zenith’s famed El Primero automatic mechanical movement, which beats at 36,000 vibrations per hour. The other three contain movements from Zenith’s Elite series; their cases measure about 43mm in diameter.
